Designskolen Kolding
DK (Designskolen Kolding) is one of the most distinguished Danish design institutions with a long and proud tradition for training some of Europe’s most talented designers within Industrial Design, Interactive Media, Fashion, Textile, Graphic Design and Illustration.
We are driven by the belief that the input designers are able to have in improving our world is best served through their ability to communicate across both notional borders of subject areas as well as national borders of culture. Our aim is to teach the students to find creative, well considered, ethical and aesthetical solutions that act for the good of users, companies, the environment and society as a whole.
DK contributes to the continual strengthening of the Danish design approach and its global role through involving ourselves in a series of international networks, projects and co operations that intensify our students understanding of cultural differences and their capability to interact, communicate and experiment. Co operation with business is a cornerstone in the school’s strategy and internships and business projects play an important role in professionalizing the competences of our students.
It is our goal to send out students ambitious enough to exert influence both economically as well as ideologically and innovative enough to challenge and develop the role, relevance and scope of tomorrows designer. From DK to the rest of the world!
